The response is well constructed and addresses the question by explaining how the texts 'subvert' the conventions of the genre. Closer links to the question could have been made by explaining how this subversion limited or supported the composer's vision. The response follows a clear line of argument and demonstrates a solid understanding of the texts and the elective. Closer and more incisive analysis of all texts would have enhanced the response. Only minor lapses in control of language and fluency are evident.
