The response demonstrates a clear engagement with the conventions of the elective and some of its associated ideas. There is some effective use of structure and language in establishing the crime genre parameters, although expression is not consistently correct. There is a clear engagement with the stimulus; however, more effective integration of values and a deeper focus on the ideas associated with the genre would strengthen the response.
