Band 2/3 Response 1
Inheritance of Values is a series of black and white prints exploring ancestry and family values through the manipulation and rephotographing of a small selection of original family snapshots. The four panels were created using a brush dipped in developer to create a sense of the past. An overhead pen and acetate were used during the printing stage to create a “double exposure”. The images display little refinement, being dark, muddy and insensitive. The overlaid thick text swamps the images in each of the panels creating a repetitious series that is difficult to discern or read.
