The response develops the concept of change following a catastrophic event. The use of imagery is well developed to create a dystopic atmosphere and nostalgic tone. There is sustained and effective integration of the metaphor, 'Dancing to a different beat'. The response attempts to use the sophisticated narrative device of shifting between first and third person to signal the theme of change, although the story structure could have supported the transitions more effectively.
