The thesis addresses the question in a general manner and is developed throughout the essay in a methodical way. A repetitive pattern is established: what is said, how it is said, followed by an attempt to explain its effect. Good knowledge of the text is demonstrated, although the quotes could have been better integrated into the arguments.
