The response demonstrates how Stoppard makes use of Hamlet by addressing key themes and comparing the way they are treated by the texts. Textual references and analysis are well integrated into the response. The context of the textual details needs to be more explicit, and generalisations need to be clarified, for example the connection between existentialism and postmodernism. The development of a stronger central thesis in regard to the nature of novelty and its significance would strengthen the response.
