The response demonstrates knowledge and understanding of concepts in relation to real functions and applications of differentiation. It uses some effective manipulation skills and communicates using graphs and mathematical language and notation. A sound understanding of concavity and correct application of the formula for determining the volume of the container, together with appropriate algebraic manipulation, would have enhanced the response.
