The response demonstrates sound knowledge and understanding of the application of calculus to problems involving exponential decay. It shows some knowledge and understanding of concepts in relation to trigonometric functions. The response uses appropriate manipulation skills in the solution of problems. Further labelling of the trigonometric graph, the provision of the position of the particle at the times it is at rest, and a more detailed description of the motion of the particle, would have enhanced the response.
