The response uses logical multi-step reasoning and relevant knowledge and understanding in solving a variety of problems. It demonstrates appropriate approaches to solving problems involving integral calculus. Greater attention to the application of geometric reasoning, to the sketching of the specified trigonometric curve, and to evaluating the given definite integral, would have enhanced the response.
