The response uses sound knowledge and skills in calculus and algebra, deductive reasoning, and appropriate manipulation skills, in the solution of problems. It demonstrates knowledge and understanding of aspects of probability and of determining the volume of a solid of revolution. The response communicates effectively using mathematical language. Greater accuracy in applying rules of differentiation would have enhanced the response.
