The response demonstrates knowledge and understanding of concepts in relation to real functions and applications of differentiation. It uses logical reasoning and effective manipulation skills in the solution of problems. Greater attention to detailed working and correct application of the formula for determining the volume of the container, together with appropriate algebraic manipulation, would have enhanced the response.
