The response demonstrates sound knowledge and understanding of the application of calculus to problems involving exponential decay and some knowledge and understanding of concepts in relation to trigonometric functions. It uses logical reasoning and manipulation skills in the solution of problems. Correct graphing of the trigonometric function, and being more specific in communicating the nature of the motion of the particle, would have enhanced the response.
