The response demonstrates sound knowledge and understanding of concepts in relation to coordinate geometry and in the approximation of a definite integral. It uses logical reasoning and arithmetic and algebraic manipulation skills in the solution of problems. Appropriate comparison of the approximation to the definite integral and its exact value would have enhanced the response.
