Band 1/2 Response 1
The Life of the Line represents a family line — mother, father and child. Each member of the family is distinguished by found objects attached to the form. The combination of materials captures movement in a totem like-form and has connotations with children's playground equipment or sprung toys. There is limited exploration of both concept and material practice of sculpture. An attempt has been made to integrate the four materials into toy-like totems but the bases are overstated.
