The response demonstrates sound knowledge and understanding of concepts in relation to applications of differentiation. It gives an inequality for the range of the given function. However, the sketch of the function is incorrect. The response uses a range of skills in the solution of problems. Correct application of the formula for determining the volume of the container, together with appropriate algebraic manipulation, would have enhanced the response.
